My story…
My beginnings: from dolls to haute couture
I became interested in women’s fashion during my childhood; my first clients were my dolls, for whom I sewed dresses from various fabrics, embellishing them with sparkling details, flowers, and imaginative designs. My love for fashion was instilled in me by my mother, who was a seamstress. I grew up surrounded by magic—watching elegant dresses come to life from simple pieces of fabric—and seeing this, I dreamed of creating fashion that women all over the world could wear.
Training and early steps
I was born in Lviv, Ukraine, where—after finishing school—I spent four years studying the fundamentals of pattern making and design, as my future goal was clear. Step by step, I expanded my knowledge through private courses at prestigious fashion schools. Upon turning eighteen, armed with a solid foundation yet driven by great ambition, I decided to immerse myself in the world of haute couture and experience it from the inside.
Vinnytsia: the beginning of a dream
I moved to the city of Vinnytsia, Ukraine, home to a high-fashion atelier in the city center where true art was created—handmade dresses featuring intricate embroidery, draping, and complex cuts. Influential figures from across the country dressed there, making it the ideal place to learn how to create something extraordinary. I was turned away several times due to my youth and lack of experience, but when I returned a third time, I was given a chance. I learned quickly and with dedication, gaining experience; as the company grew, I grew along with it. We moved to the capital, Kyiv, where I continued creating designs for prominent clients, celebrities, and Miss Universe…
Lviv: My Own Studio and School
In 2014, after the Maidan (Revolution of Dignity), I decided to return to my hometown, Lviv, with a wealth of knowledge; I opened my own design studio, hired staff, and began creating my own designs, which soon started being used all over the world. At the same time, I opened a school for children called “I Am a Little Designer,” where we taught the fundamentals of drawing, modeling, styling, and design. It was an incredible experience; working with children is something special.
LK Intimate and Accolades
During this period, I launched my lingerie line, LK Intimate, which was a huge success. My creative studio was a special place, full of charm and an atmosphere that captivated everyone who visited. The seamstresses worked in plain view, and people enjoyed watching the designs come to life. I continued creating collections and participating in fashion shows and exhibitions where my work was showcased. I became one of the city’s 100 most influential people, and a book was published about it.
The War and a New Beginning in Spain
But in 2022, the war changed everything—bringing fear and the loss of stability and dreams. I found myself in sunny Spain, where I was welcomed with such love and solidarity that I felt at home from day one. I began creating again, studying Spanish fashion trends and designs, and once more took part in fashion shows and exhibitions, because fashion is my life.
Eurovision, Georgina Rodríguez, Goya Awards
When one of Chanel’s dancers from the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest approached me, it was a wonderful moment to express my gratitude to Spain for the opportunity they gave me. Later, Georgina Rodríguez purchased my creations, and moments like these drive me forward. I am revitalizing my creativity and am grateful that people follow my work—pieces that are worn at major events, film festivals, on red carpets, and at the Goya Awards.
Fashion, my connection to the world
Fashion is not just my profession; it is my way of connecting with the world, overcoming challenges, and celebrating beauty in every detail. This is my story, and I am excited about what the future holds.
